New Zealand’s athletes very excited about the Winter Games
Anna Willcox is a freestyle skier from New Zealand and she along with her “colleague” Corey Peters said that snow-sports athletes from New Zealand are very excited about the forthcoming Winter Games in New Zealand and that they cannot wait to compete against the world’s best sportsmen in the world.
These two talked about this event at Chuck Berry’s wing suit flight across Auckland which marked fifty days until games start on August 21.
The best sportsmen and sportswomen from New Zealand will be competing against Paralympic snow-sport athletes and Olympic snow-sport athletes from different parts of the world.
For those of you who will not be able to see them live, they will be able to watch this event either on TV or if you want to you can watch it online.
Peters is very successful sportsmen and he won a silver medal at the Paralympic Games in Sochi in 2014.
He said that he is very excited because this year he will be able to play on their home turf. They always have to travel all around the world to compete against strong and the best athletes in the world, but now they feel like this year everything will be much better, since they will have large support at home.
Both of them know how this event is important for New Zealand, so that’s why they want to spread the word and simply do the best they can.
The ski fields opened up few weeks ago, so now they will have a chance to practice and prepare themselves for this amazing event.
Wilcox is also very ambitious young woman and she wants to give her all to achieve the best possible results.
